St Peter and St Paul’s Church News
Harvest Festival
On Sunday 5th October we celebrated our Harvest Festival. The church had been beautifully decorated the day before by a team of eager volunteers. The banner created by children at Syston Summer Fayre hung on the altar and looked splendid. It was a joyful occasion as we celebrated the good gifts of God’s creation. A large amount of donations were collected for the Food Bank. Afterwards there was a bring and share lunch in the Church Hall, a great opportunity for fellowship and friendship. Thank you to all who helped.
Ride and Stride
On Saturday 13th September the church was open for the annual Ride and Stride event in aid of Leicestershire Historic Churches Trust. Thank you to Theresa who took part in the event and raised £282 half of which goes to the Trust and half to our church. Thank you to everyone who sponsored the event and greeted the cyclists visiting the church.
