Specialised Fitness Sessions for Young People






JW fitness is a personal and group training facility based in Queniborough and is owned by fitness coach Jamie Wood, pictured left with Scarlett and Colin. After noticing that there isn’t a facility in the area where the youth can work on their health and fitness, he decided to start fitness sessions that cater for younger generation. He brought on board Strength & Conditioning coach, Colin Harris, who has vast knowledge and experience coaching youths. Colin is a former GB International athlete and bobsledder and shall assist to promote sports development and fitness in a fun-filled environment to improve health, well-being and enjoyment. I am very excited to be on board and enjoy coaching all standards of abilities to maximise their true potential. I also look forward to providing elite sports training in the area”. Jamie says ” Youths of today need to be encouraged, inspired and feel confident with their training and life skills. We are aiming to provide a service that will not only develop them physically, but also mentally, making them more confident and all round stronger to face what life throws at them”. The training will benefit both children who partake in a sport, and those that don’t. The sessions aim to work on building the foundations of strength, balance and coordination, and then moving onto more athletic movements.
