| Unfortunately, over the last few weeks there has been a marked increase in both Covid-19 type scams, but also in phishing emails of all types – “banks”, Netflix, HMRC, DVLA, Supermarket vouchers and surveys to name just a few
The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) have launched a new reporting service for suspicious emails. Anyone can now forward suspicious emails to report@phishing.gov.uk The service has been co-developed with the City of London Police. As well as helping to identify and take down malicious sites, it will also help by identifying new patterns in online offending. For further information : https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/information/report-suspicious-emails If you think you have been a victim of fraud or a cybercrime, please contact Action Fraud on REMEMBER TO ALWAYS #TAKEFIVE : NO MATTER HOW LEGITIMATE AN EMAIL LOOKS, NEVER CLICK ON A LINK TO LOG IN OR RESOLVE AN ISSUE. IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT ANY SORT OF ACCOUNT, LOG IN VIA A BROWSWER OR AN APP TO CHECK. Follow our Twitter account @LeicsCyberAware and our Facebook account Leicestershire Police Cyber Aware for daily updates on cyber, fraud and scams. Infographics attached with more details on phishing emails.
