Leicester Lockdown – A Poem by Oscar Brown aged 11.

Lockdown in Leicester,
The most infamous town,
Where all sickness fester,
With the city shut down.

Virus soars sky high,
We let out a sigh,
Seeing Leicester lockdown again,
Will it ever be the same?

Lockdown in Leicester,
The most infamous town,
Where all sickness fester,
With the city shutdown.

An ongoing fight,
Leaving Boris in fright,
With two metres distant,
Making people resistant.

People at a shop,
Sad with no drop,
In the cases non-stop,
Where each day they hop.
So don’t be a cheater,
When it comes to two metres,
So cases don’t teeter.

Lockdown in Leicester,
We want a happy town,
We’re a vaccine requester,
No longer shutdown.
