Beardsley’s Tea Room

Having just celebrated our third Birthday it’s fair to say that we’ve not seen the year out as we had expected (I’m sure nobody has!)

That said, the challenges faced and adaptations needed have resulted in some really positive changes, many of which will be upheld long into the future. Following an uncertain couple of weeks when we rather suddenly found ourselves in lockdown, we found a new stride and embraced our adapted take away hatch. Word of which quickly spread and it seemed to become the perfect pit stop for many whilst out and about on their daily exercise walks. With so many others (like us) celebrating their birthdays and special occasions within the new restrictions we were kept busy providing take away afternoon tea packages, allowing friends and family to have their very own high tea party in the comfort of their own homes and gardens.

As the restrictions eased, we were thrilled to be able to throw our doors open and to safely welcome you back to dine with us, whilst still continuing our extended take away offerings from the hatch. The weather was fortunately kind to us this summer allowing our garden area to be fully utilised and we’ve just recently finished the creation of a sheltered area outside with heaters ready for the cooler months.

We’ve also added to our lovely little team in the past few weeks and as such have been able to re-extend our opening hours, we are now open Monday through to Saturday, 10am to 4pm.

As we look forward to what the next few months will bring, we of course are making plans for Christmas!

Our Festive Afternoon Teas will be returning throughout December and we’re adding on an extra evening sitting this year too. We will be taking late afternoon and evening bookings for our festive afternoon teas on Friday 11th and 18th as well as Wednesday the 23rd, after which we will then be closed from December 24th to January 4th, reopening Tuesday 5th January 2021.

From myself and the team we thank you all enormously for your support, custom and loyalty, always, but especially so these last few months, it’s safe to say that we have never had to bake so much cake and for that we will be forever thankful!
