Reverend Biddy Saunders

Hello my name is Biddy Saunders and you may have seen me around Syston where I have lived for the past 31 years. After a long and fruitful career in nursing and midwifery, I answered a call to the ordained ministry following training as a reader.

I always felt that God was at work blessing, enriching and preparing me for a life dedicated to those in need.

Through my training at Queen’s Ecumenical College, Birmingham, I have been constantly reminded of God’s faithfulness. I was ordained Deacon on the 27th September at Leicester cathedral and appointed as curate for Syston and Barkby parishes.

I live with my Husband Phil and together we have Thomas and Christopher both grown men with lives of their own. As life is often frenetic, I enjoy the peaceful pastimes of embroidery, knitting and walking our two dogs Stanley and Sophia.

I look forward to meeting with you where ever you may be; what ever your need may be.
