I’m sure that many people have mixed thoughts about the country slowly coming out of lock-down.
For some it will just be a relief that life is finally getting back to normal. For others it will be an anxious time as people get used to being in crowds again and having contact with others.
As a Beat team we are looking forward to having more contact with our communities and are eager to hold Beat surgeries and visit Schools and clubs again.
Of course there will be problems with more people out and about but we anticipate this and will adjust our Patrols as needed to be as effective as we can.
Until such a time though we would encourage people to sign up for neighbourhood Link, which is a Police Community Messaging Service whereby we can keep in touch with people within our Communities and keep you updated as to what is happening in your area. Just visit www.neighbourhoodlink.co.uk to find out more.
Also please remember to keep good Crime prevention habits and make sure your properties and belongings are left safe and secure. Be good nosey neighbours and look out for each other.
If you are concerned about anything then please contact us on 101 or of course if its an emergency then ring 999.
So keep safe and it won’t be long ‘till life is back to some sort of normality and we can be out and about meeting you all again.
