Towpath/Footpath Closure

To alert residents who are out for a walk and wishing to travel along the towpath/footpath between Meadow Lane and Wanlip Road at the Hope and Anchor.
The Stn has been told that there is no signage at Meadow Lane to alert you to the fact that the towpath/footpath is closed due to much needed repair work.
This is the notification from LCC:
Leicestershire County Council (LCC) Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.
A temporary closure is required on footpath 158 from 12th April 2021 for up to 20 weeks. So could remain closed until 20th August.
The footpath will be closed between Wanlip Road and Meadow Lane.
The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety to allow Canal and River Trust to undertake works on the River Bank and footpath.
Leicestershire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during these works.
