Riverside Kestrels U15’s – Season Review

After a successful season last year, there were a few changes in the squad, but these have helped the team continue to go from strength to strength and have another fantastic season.
The Kestrels played in Division 3 this year, in what we all knew would be a challenging and competitive league. However the team have continued to develop this season and adapted well to the league, playing some fantastic stuff throughout the season with every single player having played a pivotal role in what they have achieved, which has really impressed. The team played 14 league games this season winning 11, drawing one and only losing two games, which they were unlucky to lose. All this meant that the team won the league with a few games to spare, making it two leagues in successive seasons.
In cup competitions we played higher league sides and whilst we were knocked out of the competitions, losing by the odd goal, the team did themselves proud and importantly showed that they can compete at a higher level.
The team continue to evolve and build, having a great team spirit and are already looking forward to the challenges ahead in Division 2. The team have provided some great entertainment this year, which has left everybody looking forward to the season ahead, but this couldn’t be achieved without the hard work and commitment of the management team and support of the parents. Here’s to another great season in 2022-2023.
