Dear Editor,
To the Syston Robin robber
My wife passed away in 2019 and each Christmas since then I have put a wreath on her grave in Barkby Road cemetery. She was a lover of robins and starting with one Robin, I have increased the number each year but in 2020 someone stolen one of the two robins, last year three were on the wreath and they survived, the same three went back on again this year but again someone has been a ‘Robin Robber’ there are now two on the wreath.
It may not mean a lot to the person or persons doing this but I would like to know why you take the robins from my wife’s wreath!
In the meantime leave the robins well alone.
I have reported these thefts to the council.
