‘Clean rivers for people and Wildlife’
Thousands of amounts of sewage have been pumped into rivers and seas during many years. The NFWI is now urging the Government, local authorities and other public bodies to ensure that designated bathing waters are kept clean and bacteria levels are monitored. In the UK there are 600 bathing waters, which are used for swimming and paddling, Most are coastal with only two rivers.
New Barkby members voted for the Resolution with a discretionary vote, to be decided on at the NFWI’s AGM at Cardiff in June. The delegate representing NBWI is from another institute.
Thank you to Dawn.
