Wreake Runners
Each year we aim to support one main local charity as a club. For 2021/2 the club charity was LOROS and £1,400 was raised.
For 2022/3 members voted on a number of charities and two were tied with the most votes, The Brain Tumour Charity and Leicester based Wishes for Kids.
Both have links to members in the club and we look forward to raising as much as we can and splitting the funds between the two.
Wishes 4 Kids has been created to grant a wish for children and youngsters in Leicestershire who are life limited, terminally ill, have experienced life-changing physical or emotional traumas and have suffered major abuse. The Charity grants wishes for those of eighteen years and below.
The Brain Tumour Charity is the world’s leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, set on finding new treatments, offering the highest level of support and driving urgent change.
We will be looking to raise funds at a variety of events over the year from raffles and cake sales to supporting individuals in races from 10k to marathons.
