Friends of Barkby Road Cemetery
Hello everyone – Phew what a hot few weeks we have had. The poor flowers aren’t surviving very long and I’m constantly filling my bags with the dead flowers and plants. I try to water fresh flowers when I go in the evenings for you, to help them last a little longer. Having said that the hanging baskets and flower tubs and the beds look fantastic, this is because the hanging baskets and tubs are self-watering, a credit to Syston Town Council. Thank you.
Dave planted up the fountain with plants donated by Syston Town Council. Once again thank you.
Only the Father’s Day display last month, and the summer theme this month for me to do. It’s been lovely to see the Chapel being used especially at the weekend for quiet reflection, it’s so very peaceful.
Don’t forget the Chapel is available to hire – please contact Catherine Voyce on 0116 260 7150 at Syston Town Council for further information. Also, if you wish to purchase a standard rose in memory of a loved one, again contact Catherine at Syston Town Council to arrange it, a small plaque can be purchased to dedicate the Rose.
