Networking Event for Council Tenants and Leaseholders in Syston

Council tenants and leaseholders in Charnwood are being invited to a special event on Wednesday 20th September 2023.
The tenant networking event will take place at Syston Community Centre on School Street, Syston from 10am until 2pm.
The event is the second in-person tenant networking event organised by the Council this year and it followed a four-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Council tenants and leaseholders are invited to come and meet officers from the council and its partners, ask questions and find out more about the services available.
There is also an opportunity to access advice on managing money and rent, and dealing with anti-social behaviour in the areas they live in.
The event is open to anyone who is a council tenant or leaseholder. There will be free tea and coffee and plenty of useful gifts and useful leaflets to take away.
You don’t need to book a space, and people can come and go as they please.
The council’s customer engagement team will also be on hand to sign tenants up to a variety of services, groups, forums and events.
Councillor Colin Hamilton, lead member for public and private sector housing at Charnwood Borough Council, said: “It is fantastic to be running another networking event for tenants and leaseholders.
“Our first networking event took place in Loughborough in June and was a great success, but it is important to give tenants from across the borough the opportunity to attend. I’m looking forward to meeting tenants and leaseholders from Syston and surrounding villages. I hope that many will attend and chat with our brilliant officers and see what services and support we can provide for them.”
