QT Theatre Celebrating 70 Years

Thank you so much to our fabulous audiences who came along to see Pretzels for Dinner at the end of May and special thanks to the STN correspondent who gave us such a fabulous review! We have never played to a full house on opening night before and, from the proceeds, we were able to make a donation of £100.00 to Raising Health, a division of Leicestershire NHS. There were lots of returning audience members but also many new faces, who all said they would be back for more. Well now I can tell you what “more” is!
We shall be performing two of our favourite playwright’s inimitable comedies – ‘What’s for Pudding?’ and ‘Last Panto in Little Grimley’, both by David Tristram. His plays are such a joy to rehearse and perform – there is more giggling and laughing than is good for us really!
Rehearsals have already started and the performances will take place from Tuesday 5th to Friday 8th December at The Old Chapel in Chapel Street LE7 1GN.
But there is something very important happening before that – 2023 is the year that QTs celebrate their 70th anniversary, and you are all invited to join us on Sunday 29th October from 2.00pm until 4.00pm, again at The Old Chapel.
It will be very informal but this will be a chance to meet people who have been members of the group for a very long time or a very short time, and all times in between! Look through our archives, costumes old and new, all sorts of memorabilia and enjoy a cup of tea, maybe a glass of wine and a slice of ‘birthday’ cake
See October’s issue of STN for more details!
