Brooklea Nursery

Springtime is the busiest time at Brooklea Nursery. A visit to the plant centre on the old A6 in Rothley will greet you with an abundance of Spring and early Summer garden colour.
Owner Nathan Proud says ‘We are incredibly busy this time of year growing the Summer perennial plants and thousands upon thousands of Summer bedding and basket plants. Our tunnels are full of young plants to give your garden a much needed boost of colour’. He also adds ‘We make hanging baskets for you to take away with you but you can also bring in your empty hanging baskets to be refilled’.
It is a busy time to be in the garden – weeds are growing, lawns need mowing and greenhouses are filling with young seedlings. Brooklea Nursery has everything you need for a beautiful garden from composts and aggregates to tools and organic sprays to prevent the dreaded Summer bug invasion.
Nathan says ‘It is worth stocking up on bug and fungus sprays for the season ahead as well as plant feed such as seaweed and slow release fertilisers’.
The nursery team also sow and grow a massive range of vegetable plants that are available daily.
Aquatic plants have also shown to be popular at Brooklea, where you will find ponds full of pond loving plants – including oxygenators and waterlilies.
Overall, a visit to Brooklea Nursery and of course a stop off at Daisy’s Tearoom is a fabulous day out for everyone! The team look forward to seeing you soon.
