Friends of Barkby Road Cemetery
Well, it’s up. Well done to everyone involved. I believe that there are only two green flags in Charnwood this year and our lovely cemetery has one of them. Now we need to keep improving to keep the flag
Hope everyone had the best summer they could. We have got an easier job with the weeds now – just the runways to sort out and try and get rid of the ground weed that is spreading. If you are interested in joining the Friends of Syston Cemetery please contact us via Syston Town Council as we are looking to increase the number of friends helping us.
The quick succession of chapel displays start again now, starting with the autumn one – hope you like it.
We are still trying to sort out the LED candles for the weekends. In other words we’re trying to get the real candles back. Contact Syston Town Council if you have any ideas to help us along please.
Again if you wish to donate a rose tree in memory of a loved one please speak to Catherine Voyce at Syston Town Council likewise if you would like to hire the chapel.
