Loughborough Bid Brings Festive Cheer To The Town This December!
This Christmas Love Loughborough will be organising lots of festive initiatives to support businesses in the town centre over the Christmas period.
The family favourite Elf on the Shelf will return to the town as part of the Christmas Lights Switch- On which will take place on Friday 29th November. There are 34 participating businesses throughout the town and families can embark on this free festive adventure to find at least 12 elves to be entered into a prize draw to enter a £50 Love Loughborough voucher. The trail is available in person and online and will be available until Tuesday 24th December.
The Love Loughborough Gardeners’ Christmas Fair will take over the town centre on Sunday 8th December. With over 100 stalls including festive plants, wreaths, Christmas trees as well as artisan craft stalls for great festive gifts and of course lots of food and drinks stalls. There’ll also be a Santa and his elves festive workshop in the Odeon where families can enjoy crafts, entertainment, face painting and of course see Santa himself.
On Sunday 22nd December the Love Loughborough Food and Drink Fair will take place in the town centre and will include lots of food and drink stalls and last minute gifts and festive treats. There’ll also be a visit from Santa, a festive snow globe and live entertainment. The Love Loughborough elves will be providing free Christmas Wrapping at both of these events.
Lisa Brown, BID Manager said ‘Christmas is an important time for traders and we’re doing everything we can to help increase footfall and create a magical experience to visitors over the next month.’
These events and initiative are all part of the ongoing support Loughborough BID provides to local businesses to increase footfall into the town and boost the local economy.
