Syston Cancer Research Raffle Winner

Colin Goodwin was fortunate to win one of the prizes (Bottle of Vodka & 16 Cans of Vodka Cocktails) in aid of Cancer Research raffle.
Tracey Smith a volunteers to run the raffles which are quite successful in raising funds. One of the reasons Colin especially supports Cancer Research is because he had bladder Cancer in 2010. 
The symptoms were spotted when I had a routine blood and water sample test in the Heart Disease Clinic run by the Health Centre after having had a heart attack in 2001. 
The practice nurse who ran the clinic spotted an invisible trace of blood in my urine, that would not be noticeable when passing water so fortunately in my case it was detected early and systematically removed thanks to the Health Centre and Leicester General Hospital. 
I would urge every adult to have their water sample checked just in case.
