St Peter and St Paul’s Church News

Wonderful Grant
St Peter and St Paul’s church was recently awarded a grant of £5,000 by the Archbishops’ Council from the Buildings for Mission MR&I Grants Fund for minor repairs and improvements.  Significant repair work was carried out on the leaking roof and cracked buttress as well as broken windows, which Syston residents may have observed while walking through the churchyard.  The congregation give thanks for this gift which has contributed greatly to the upkeep of the church.
Our fundraisers are busy working at raising funds to install a toilet in the church as well as a servery.  The church is without heating at the moment and we are making plans to install an environmentally friendly replacement system.  Please support our fundraisers this Christmas by attending the Christmas Tree Festival on 6th to 8th December and Christmas Market and Cafe on 7th December at 10.00am.
