VE Day 80 Years On

A stall on the Park showing some of Syston’s History of WW2.
Situated next to the British Legion gazebo, the church stall will have displays about V.E. Day 1945 and albums containing information about Syston men who fought in WW2.
Originally planned as an event to be held in the Parish Church, where we would have been able to show the complete Remembrance books of all the Syston men who died fighting in WW2 on a large screen, we have been forced to relocate our display and the books to the Central Park as the church is likely to be in disarray, if the plumbing work to install a new heating system has started.
Do come and visit us and find out about Syston and its people eighty years ago.
The event will run from 12noon until 5pm on Central Park on Saturday 10th May.
