Syston in Bloom Station Adopters
Our group were busy during the last few weeks of October, removing the summer plants from the baskets on the railway station car park and platform. We have now replanted them with various coloured violas. Thank you again to all our sponsors, Syston Town News, DR Electrical, Syston Town Council, Wreake Valley Rotary Club, Midland Railway Hotel and our two new sponsors, Optimal Hearing and Magnify Digital, who together enable us to purchase plants and compost to keep up the welcoming appearance of our station.
More good news is that we have been funded by Community Rail Network to purchase a new floor planter which is now ready for delivery. A special thank you to Trevor, Alan and Richard, for their hard work emptying the existing concrete planter to enable its removal to make room for the new one.
