Syston Memorial Books

As we are not able to join together at the War Memorial at 11.00am this year, perhaps you might like to pay your respects there individually at some other time during the day.

There is also an outdoor memorial at the parish church of St Peter and St Paul. This is situated to the right of the main church entrance door.

The church bells will be rung at 11.00am.

Readers who have family connections to Syston may like to look at the memorial books of Syston men (and one woman) who are commemorated on the war memorial.

Unfortunately the hard copies of these volumes cannot be on show anywhere this year, but all the information can be found on the Syston Town Council’s website.

If you put ‘memorial books’ in the search bar on the website it brings up books from both WW1 and WW2. https://www.systontc.org.uk/uploads/syston-book-of-remembrance-with-additional-photos.pdf
