The Syston Careers Advice Service is restarting and will be based at the very pleasant, friendly Occasions cafe on the High Street.
This drop-in service will restart on Thursday 9th September and will be held on the second Thursday of each month between 10.00am and 12.00noon.
It will be free to all adults i.e those who are aged 18 and over and who can provide evidence of their unemployment status.
Those aged 16 or 17 will only be seen if accompanied by an appropriate adult.
Robin Perry, is an experienced, qualified careers adviser who can offer information, advice and guidance and help with matching for suitable careers, courses, CV preparation and interview skills etc. However, he does not provide employment.
Those requiring careers information, advice or guidance will not be asked to pay anything for this service but the cafe owners ask either that a refreshment is bought or the minimum of £1 is paid as contribution for using this venue.
Anyone interested in using this service can just drop in between 10.00am and 12.00 on the day.
