Dear Editor
Every year I get a chest infection I have antibiotics indoors but always check with the doctor first. This time I phoned and was given a phone appointment a week later. By the time I received the call on 4th April I had already had to take the medicine as I was in trouble. He said I had done the right thing. My argument is why are they not getting on track and seeing patients. Everyone else is doing it. I think they are getting lazy as it’s easier to phone when people can die waiting for the call but left I would have got pneumonia as happens every year.
The Government should tell them to get back to seeing people. They need to see what’s wrong. A phone call is not good enough. They don’t have to fill the surgery, just 20 is a start.

Dear Editor
Well, didn’t we do well at the Olympics, what great hero’s all of the athletes, whether you got a medal or not, I felt so proud to be British and as they say, sport brings everyone together no matter what country you come from. The younger generation have so much to look forward to, a great future and good luck to those who want to take part in the next Olympics in Paris, they have so much choice in whatever they choose. Good luck for the future and the sacrifice that everyone makes.
Yours sincerely

Dear Editor,
I read with great interest regarding the weed growth in Oak Drive letter you printed in a previous issue.
I looked through the last issue hoping for good news, that is, the weeds have been tidied by the County Council, Charnwood swept the roads and the Town Council making sure all was done properly.
I await further news.
Your faithfully
S Sleath
