Friends of Barkby Road Cemetery
Hello, everyone, it’s Ros again. Well, when we look back, what a busy year we have had with lots of renovations and improvements. Our cemetery and chapel are stunning, isn’t it?
Thank you to everyone who has helped me achieve this – the cemetery committee, Banksy, the people who have donated benches, bird tables, plants, who helped weed, freshen and water flowers, feed and water the birds. People have been hiring our beautiful chapel, it is only £60.00 to hire so please contact Catherine Voyce at Syston Town Council on 0116 260 7150 if you wish to do so. A great big thank to Banksy who donated the High Street Post Box topper for use in the chapel following the death of our Queen.
The chapel will be open daily from Wednesday 9th November to Sunday 13th November for Remembrance Day 2022, Friday 23rd December to Tuesday 27th December inclusive and also Friday 30th December to Monday, 2nd January inclusive.

Also, we would like to thank D P Soft Furnishings, Melton Road, Syston for making the new Altar Front Cloth. It looks superb.
