Syston Station Project Update
Syston in Bloom/Station Adopters are pleased to report that our project to upgrade our planters is now making good progress.
Our Amberol planters arrived mid January, four of which are now installed on the railings of the ramp leading to the platform.
All of the old wooden floor planters and the old barrier baskets have now been removed from the platform to enable EMR maintenance staff to paint the fence, in readiness for the positioning of the new ones. Our target for completion of the installation of the new planters is 31st March.
It will then be time to fill them up and make them look beautiful for the benefit of passengers.
Grateful thanks to our team of volunteers who are working extremely hard to complete the project. If you’re not taking a train, why not take a look around to see their good work, which will undoubtedly be a credit to Syston.
We are appealing for regular annual, or one off sponsorship, for the seasonal purchase of plants.
Plaques will be provided and fitted to planters to show our appreciation of your support of our project. Our thanks again to Green Stripe Media, D.R. Electrical and, most recently, to Wreake Valley Rotary Club for their contributions.
