Age Concern Coronation Coffee Morning

On Wednesday 3rd May, Age Concern held a special Coronation Coffee morning with entertainment from the Happy Ukulele Band and 21 children from the St Peter and St Paul Choir.
It was a lovely morning with a picture wall set up showing the inside of Buckingham palace and with some hats and other accessories to wear and have your photograph taken.
The National anthem was played by the band and sung by the choir when they joined together. The choir then sang another three songs on their own.
The happy ukulele band and singers did a range of songs including some that could be danced to, which was enjoyed by all.
Most people had dressed in red, white and blue and the hall was trimmed with flag bunting so looked very inviting and cheerful. As you can see in our pictures.
Our picture here shows Ukrainian couple Nina and Mykola, either side of Yvonne from Age Concern were the two are volunteering, having had to flee their homeland due to the Russian invasion, they are living in Syston. They are a very friendly and just want to help in any they can.
