Friends of Barkby Road Cemetery
Hello everyone. Our lovely cemetery is now settling down for the winter so there isn’t a lot for me to report on.
Except:
- The lovely Eaton Family have adopted the fountain for the next six months in memory of their loved ones. It has now been planted and doesn’t it look lovely?
- The Chapel will be open on the following weekends in December:
- 2nd and 3rd
- 9th and 10th
- 16th and 17th
- And from 23rd to January 1st
Inclusive. - Please note that any Christmas wreaths / decorations will start to be removed from the end of January.
I expect that it is going to be a long, hard and cold winter if the number of berries on the trees and in the hedgerows is anything to go by, they have been in abundance for several weeks now. However, when it snows it makes our Cemetery look absolutely stunning.
Please try and have the best Christmas you can, and the very best 2024 also. It’s a difficult time for so many of us.
