Brooksby Gardening Club

Back to our usual meeting place at Queniborough Village Hall for our March meeting when we were entertained by Dr Andrew Ward with his talk on Perennial Pleasures including superb photos of the many varieties he grows at his nursery at Norwell (he holds National Collections of chrysanthemums and astrantias) well worth a visit.
Now the better weather is hopefully approaching the bees are taking advantage of the proliferation of blossom in our gardens and hedges and of course the usual pests of greenfly, blackfly, slugs, snails etc which all gardeners detest and will be increasingly present among our precious plants so the very appropriate title of our April talk is ‘Love your Bugs’ maybe we can all take advantage of the advice we will be given.
May meeting will possibly introduce us to the delights of home grown produce when Johnnie Amos advises us on how to grown more and better vegetables.
Can we encourage you to come and join us on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm.
