Second Time Around Presentations
We at Second Time Around in town square invited the M.A.D.S group and Syston Make and Play to come to the shop on 27th March to receive a cheque to help their groups.
Both groups are invaluable to the Syston community and these lovely people give up their time to make these groups succeed and flourish.
We also gave two boxes of craft donations to M.A.D.S and two bags of toys to Syston make and play.
As well as both groups visiting us to receive their cheques, we popped in to Syston Lodge Residential Home on Oxford Street to take a bag of goodies including some winter woollies, large print books, some new scarves for the residents for when they are out and about, and toiletries for the residents. It was great to meet a couple of the care staff at the same time. Thank you to the Syston community for helping us by supporting our shop. Without the local community we wouldn’t be able to continue to help different groups, this is only made possible by the donations brought into the shop, such as clothing, books, household, vinyl, handbags, shoes, toiletries etc… so thank you to everyone and a big thank you to these local groups for all that they do.
