Young at Heart
On Thursday 10th April the Stn was invited to visit the Young at Heart to capture the group with the table set for their Easter lunch. Everyone was looking very spring like in their bright spring colours.
The table was decorated with handmade flowers and the menu cover had been decorated by Dorothy and the table at the entrance was decorated with everything Easter related and it was beautiful.
Thank you Pam and everyone for making us welcome and we hope you all had a lovely Easter.
Young at heart have 20 members and we meet every Thursday. If anyone would like to come and join us we have spaces, please get in touch with Age Concern on 0116 260 1476, transport can be provided.
Our members arrive at 10.30am and have tea and biscuits, we play dominoes and other games, then lunch is served at 12noon.
After lunch we play either bingo, play your cards right or maybe a quiz.
The U3A Ukulele band and singers have entertained us and everyone enjoyed it.
Lately, our funds were getting low so Pam asked for support from our local shops. We would like to say a very big thank you to Tesco and Eye Care for their donation of Easter eggs for our members.
Also Second Time Around for their generous donation to boost our funds.
