Moaning Fred

This is a new column requested by a resident, who has asked to write under the pseudonym ‘Moaning Fred’. All comments are their own and do not reflect the views of the Syston Town News.
How many of you out there have a good moan to yourself about certain issues which get your goat so to speak, but no one really listens. Maybe you are like me and want a good moan well now’s your chance.
What shall we kick it off with let’s look at the up and coming local and national elections we are expected to support.
My late wife bless her would not be able to vote. Why you might say?
Well, she hadn’t got a passport, nor a driving licence, nor a bus pass in other words no means of photo identification. So how many others out there are like that, you might be one of them.
We are suffering because of a few irresponsible people.
At the last general election, the conservatives got a whopping 80 seat majority, now I wonder who made that possible.
What about the Doctors getting an appointment?
Or having to pay by cash at certain establishment instead of either cash or card. Are they thinking of the customer or are they looking after themselves?
What about the Banks. What Banks? We used to have five, now non, I was in the Banking hub recently and they couldn’t help this disabled lady, she had to go to Melton Mowbray Bank.
I have been advised I have to go to Loughborough, so what’s the point of a Banking Hub if you can’t get the service you want?
Well that’s enough moaning for now and believe me I have a lot more lined up for the future. If you have any moans you want to get off your chest, then write to me.
