VAL Wins Ongoing Contract to Strengthen Voices of Families Across LLR
We are excited to announce, following a highly competitive tender process, the Integrated Care Board (ICB) has awarded Voluntary Action Leicestershire (VAL) the contract to continue delivering the Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR).
This decision recognises VAL’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that the voices of women, birthing people, and families remain central to the development and improvement of local maternity and neonatal services.
As part of this renewed contract, VAL will continue to engage with communities across LLR, actively seeking new members and volunteers who are passionate about shaping better services.
The MNVP is particularly keen to hear from:
- Individuals planning to become pregnant
- Those who are currently pregnant
- Parents and families with babies up to two years old
- Individuals and families who have experienced pregnancy or baby loss
By sharing these experiences, members help influence real change in how services are designed and delivered. VAL is committed to ensuring that every voice matters and that services reflect the needs and experiences of the communities they serve.
Jane Hunt and Dulna Shahid, MNVP Leads said,
“Together, we can build a more inclusive and responsive system, one that truly reflects the needs, hopes, and experiences of every family we serve. By coming forward, sharing your voice, and working collaboratively, you become part of the change that will shape safer, stronger care for generations to come. Your voice matters – please get involved and make a difference.”
